Mary E. Weeber, 94, of Tripoli, died Monday, November 30, 2015, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly.
Funeral Services will be held at Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marilyn J. Sargent officiating. Burial will follow at Faith U.C.C. Cemetery. Friends may call for one hour preceding services at the church on Friday. Memorials may be given to the family for designation at a later date.
Mary Elizabeth, daughter of Earl and Alice (Holden) Baxter was born, July 8, 1921, at Albia, Iowa. She graduated from Albia High School and later from Iowa State University in Ames. On August 10, 1947, she was united in marriage with Dr. Wyman Weeber in Albia. They moved to Tripoli in 1963. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli, a long time member of the Tripoli Women’s Club, and a member of Bremer County ARC. She enjoyed sewing, and especially shopping and bargain hunting.
Mary is survived by two children, Annette Weeber of Des Moines and Douglas Weeber of Tripoli, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, who died in 1980, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert; and one nephew.
